DPS is currently seeking a Senior Electrical & Instrumentation engineer to join their multidisciplined team working on exciting projects in their new office in Leiden. An elctrical/instumentation engineer who is capable of undertaking tasks independently on a project and ideally can work on the entire design process. It is is a true project organization focused on the high-end segment of the market. Examples of industries in which they operate include the food and pharmaceutical industry. One of the areas in which they specialize concerns the design and set-up of clean rooms. The team consists of a variety of engineers specializing in electrical, mechanical and process engineering. Together they provide high quality services for their clients.
DPS provides two types of services;
1 project organization
2. contract services

Functie
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Takes the lead in the E&I discipline role on projects, responsible for monitoring and reporting on progress, supervising a small team on his projectin terms of delivery, quality and progress;
- Writes scope of work for electrical design based on preliminary review and meetings with the client;
- Prepares engineering studies and schematic design for new systems and analyzes operation of existing systems;Works with code officials and other design professionals when an interpreatation or exception to building codes is required;
- Creates specialized drawings such as electrical single line diagrams;
- Provides design for own projects and produces sketches to incorporate in drawings by drafters;
- Researches design options and documents findings for projects;
- Ensures that drawings and designs are in accordance with company production and design standards;
- Ensures that designs are executed in compliance with client standards;
- Interacts with other departments and disciplines including: Process/ HVAC/ Piping / EHS / C&Q / Procurement.
Functie-eisen
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE PREFERENCES
- Ideal candidates woud have the following attributes;:
- A minimum of 5 years experience in an engineering consultancy;
- Appropriate qualifications in Electrical Engineering;
- General knowledge of electrical system design and applicable codes;
- Advanced MS office computer skills;
- Dutch/English bilingual ability required
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal;
- Excellent analytical, problem- solving, and decision-making skills
- Flexible, driven team player with good interpersonal skills and a can-do attitude;
- Result-oriented, customer focused.
